Nursery Ministry
The mission of the First UMC Nursery is to show and teach the love of Jesus through our actions and attitudes to all of the children and their families.
On Sunday, nursery care is offered for children up to eight years old for both worship services and during the Sunday school hour. During the Sunday school hour, the Toddlers and Two’s participate in a Sunday school lesson with age-appropriate stories and activities. In the Nursery, we teach children that Jesus loves them and show them by example. Our aim is to help children develop a trust in God and others by maintaining consistent routines and practices. We provide pagers to parents when they drop of their children so they can be contacted if need be. The Nursery is also available to all ages for all First UMC meetings and programs as scheduled. Parent's Night Out
PNO is held on Friday nights through out the year and provides four hours of quality childcare and dinner at the cost of only $5 per child! PNO is held from 6pm-10pm in the church nursery. The children eat dinner, do crafts, play games, watch movies, etc. The nursery provides Parent's Night Out as a ministry to members of First UMC. PNO is limited to 15 children each night. Sign up in the Nursery on Sunday mornings or by contacting Lindsey. PNO is a great chance for parents to go out and enjoy themselves while having the confidence that their children are happy and taken care of.
