2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the Month

The First UMC Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on
the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 5:00pm in Room 211.
It is open to anyone who is an accomplished knitter or crocheter or who would like to learn. Part of the purpose of this group is to offer fellowship and community. The other part is to create shawls.
The journey of making a shawl involves thinking about
and praying for the person who will receive the shawl. Some of these
people may be ill, some may be caring for loved ones and need to feel they are being
cared for as well, and others may be
celebrating accomplishments. For each of these people, the
shawl is meant to represent the love of God being
wrapped around them.
