Greeters

A friendly smile and warm hello is a great way to begin a Sunday morning. Greeters are needed on Sunday mornings and for special services throughout the year.

First Share Bears

You may notice the First Share Bears in the pews. Since we began this ministry, over 400 bears have found their way to folks in need of a special hug to know that Jesus loves them and so do those at First UMC. The Share Bears can lend a hand in comforting a friend who has lost a loved one, and acquaintance who is going through hard times, a child or adult going into the hospital, or they can be a wonderful means of inviting someone to visit the church. Many have gone to comforting those affected by local disasters, and they can also just go with you after church to be taken to someone you feel is in real need. No strings attached, and no permission is necessary - everyone is a minister for Jesus Christ here at First UMC.
