News:

"You and the Pastor," an invitation from Rev. David Okerberg: My personal challenge this summer is to change some bad eating habits. Since I know, as John Wesley preached, that we need small groups for inspiration and accountability, I will be hosting a new adventure. This summer, join me Wednesdays at noon, as we examine two books: "YOU: The Owners Manual" and "YOU: On A Diet". Both of these best-selling books were written by Michael Roizen, M.D. and Hehmet Oz, M.D. I have found both books to be fun, helpful, and challenging. I wish to get a group going that can come together and support each other as we learn about our bodies and how to take care of ourselves. Each gathering will be comprised of prayer, a Bible passage, check-in time with one another, and review of material from the books. Purchasing the books to join the group is not necessary, but I do recommend both books. There is no need to sign up for group, please just come.

Fair Trade Coffee Sales:
On the first Sunday of each month, Fair Trade coffee, tea & cocoa from Equal Exchange is sold. Items that have been certified as Fair Trade ensure that the farmers growing the products have been paid a fair and equitable price for their work. Proceeds from First UMC's monthly sales benefit local and world-wide mission activities.

Monthly Book Table:
Each month the Christian Education Team hosts a book table selling bibles, bible study books and seasonal books relevant to Christians' lives. Stop by and see what's available this month.
